El Museo de Arte de El Paso

Abraham Chavez Theatre

With three-story high windows and a unique sombrero-inspired shape, the Abraham Chavez Theatre is a distinctive feature in the El Paso skyline. Come on out and take in a show, musicians, comedians and all kinds of performers are waiting to entertain you.

The Plaza Theatre

A National Historic Building of Significance, the Plaza Theatre boasts a a 2,050-seat performance hall, a 200-seat philanthropy theatre and the Mighty Wurlitzer Balaban III Organ — one of only six ever made. Built with Spanish Colonial Revival architecture, the theatre itself is a dream to see, seeing a show is the cherry on top.

El Paso Convention & Performing Arts Center

Each summer, Alfresco! Fridays are hosted in front of the Convention Center at 6 PM. Audiences of all ages are invited to come experience salsa, jazz, cumbia, country, reggae, classic rock, blues and more. Admission is free!

Public Spaces
San Jacinto Plaza

A historic park located at the corner of Oregon and Mills Street, the park features a fiberglass sculpture of alligators by the famed Luis Jiménez. Enjoy the shade, ping-pong tables and small café.

Cleveland Square Park

Located between the Main Public Library and the El Paso Museum of History, this grassy area is a lovely respite as you explore the Downtown Arts District.

Arts Festival Plaza

Located between the El Paso Museum of Art and the Plaza Theatre, this community space features a waterfall installation, trees and greenery. Depending on the season, you may find an ice skating rink, a stage for musicians, an outdoor movie theatre or a public art gathering in the Plaza.

Events
El Paso Chihuahuas Games

Southwest University Park is the home of the El Paso Chihuahuas, the Triple-A affiliate for the San Diego Padres. Attend a game and you’ll get a great view of the Franklin Mountains and access to El Paso-inspired stadium fare.

El Paso Locomotive Games

Southwest University Park is also the home of the El Paso Locomotive Futbol Club. The Locomotive is part of the United Soccer League (USL), a Division II Professional League. Attend a match and you’ll experience the excitement of the world’s beloved sport.

El Paso Downtown Art and Farmers Market

This market features original arts and crafts, food vendors, regionally grown produce and agricultural products and entertainment from local talent. Open Saturdays, year-round, from 9 AM to 1 PM, the DTAFM is a family-friendly outing.
