Drawing from the talent of musicians from El Paso, Juarez, and worldwide, Bach and Friends in the Barrio is committed to enriching the border’s cultural landscape through chamber music. In collaboration with community partners like El Paso Museum of Art, they aim to create beautiful, inclusive, and harmonious spaces where music brings life to history, and where culture and community can thrive.
They are a conductor-less ensemble, committed to the historically accurate intimacy of chamber music with the discipline of performance. Their mission is to provide the El Paso/Juarez community with an immersive experience of early music informed by historical practice, introducing students, musicians, and audiences to the rich history and artistry of the Baroque and beyond.
This concert features Cuarteto Antiguo, showcasing the works of Joseph Haydn (String Quartet Op. 76, No. 2) and Ludwig van Beethoven (String Quartet Op.18, No. 4)
