Star Ceiling (El Paso) is a breathtaking new installation by internationally acclaimed artist Leo Villareal. This site-specific work consists of a suspended LED array, zero-gravity benches carved out of local stone, and planters featuring species indigenous to the Chihuahuan Desert. The 120-foot LED array comprises 13,500 individually addressable, monochrome, and energy-efficient LEDs activated by the artist in non-repeating patterns. This unique interactive display will never repeat the same light patterns, creating a different experience for every visitor.

The City of El Paso Museums and Cultural Affairs Department and the El Paso Museum of Art extend their heartfelt gratitude to the donors and sponsors whose generous contributions made this installation a gift to the Citizens of El Paso.
