Museum Connect Lab

This pop-up installation celebrates Lunar New Year buy showcasing decorative artifacts in the EPMA Collection from China dating back to the 18th century. These artifacts detail a rich history of craft, commerce, and identity of various dynasties and eras that ruled over China.

Lunar New Year is celebrated in various east and southeast Asian countries who observe the beginning of the new year on the lunar calendar. 2025 is observed as the Year of the Snake and is said to bring luck to individuals born in snake years; 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, and 2013.

This exhibition is supported by the Museums and Cultural Affairs Department in partnership with Pho Tre Bien and Ai-Hwa Chinese Language School.
